Topic: Redefining White Concrete's Role and Function in the Construction Sector

Case study:

As a response to the challenges that the construction industry is facing nowadays, the innovation team at Aalborg Portland / Cementir Holding has developed a new binder technology, which is based on the FUTURECEM patent. This white binder is flexible and suitable for industrial manufacturing processes, it can be used in several high-end applications, such as Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC), with benefits as high early and final strength, possibility to target self-levelling or thixotropic properties according to the application and outstanding durability properties of the casted elements. The goal is to develop concrete recipes that allow for a reduction in thickness and therefore weight, without compromising integrity and durability. The technology and its areas of application will be shown in this presentation.
