Barangaroo Metro Station, designed by Foster + Partners with Architectus as executive architect, showcases remarkable landscape area designed by Arcadia. A standout feature is the polished white concrete seating, embedded with oyster shells collected in the Sydney Basin. This design element references the shell fishing hooks once used by the expert Aboriginal fishing women who fished from nawi (bark canoes) in the cove. The unique seating celebrates the Nawi Cove’s traditional use for the Gadigal people as a fishing ground.

Produced by 2barrows Polished Concrete using Aalborg White cement from Cementir's Ipoh plant, the seating offers a brilliant white finish that contrasts beautifully with Sydney’s blue sky, delivering a sleek and contemporary aesthetic. The long, arc-shaped benches not only enhance the architectural appeal but also provide a relaxing space along the harbor, inviting people to sit and enjoy the waterfront scenery.
