Residence 'The Green' Nieuwpoort | Precast White Concrete Terrace

The new residential building, The Green, located on the coast in Nieuwpoort, is distinguished with its expressive horizontal layers of white concrete terraces, designed by Arcas Architects.

Produced by enjoy concrete, the terraces feature white concrete with exceptional load-bearing capacity, produced with Aalborg White cement and mixed with Norwegian glacier aggregate for a subtle extra sparkle.These spacious terraces are designed to support trees and tall plants, highlighting a strong structural concrete material with distinct aesthetic appeal.  

Total 1,397 concrete elements were made for this project, representing almost 1,300 m3 of white concrete. The bearing capacity of the terraces together is more than 1,500 tonnes, and in certain places included 1,000kg/m2 of overburden to support a sizeable tree.

The Green revitalizes an entire building block in the coastal town of Nieuwpoort, bringing fresh dynamism to the urban centre.
