The Jiading Archives boasts an architectural form resembling a huge book, presenting a distinct contrast to the surrounding urban roads and parks. White GRC claddings cover the South and North facades, exuding a rich cultural essence. The use of curved GRC elements incorporates bamboo carving textures, transforming the main facade into a scroll that beautifully showcases Jiading District's bamboo carving culture.

Facing the city park, the architect deliberately crafted an open building interface, akin to a gradually unfolding book. This design seamlessly extends the public and open ambiance of the park into the archives. Beneath the facade lies the archive's main entrance, where bronzed metal subtly emerges from under the GRC cornice, offering a modern interpretation of traditional meanings associated with archives.
